Neighbors Coffee & Co. was started by Rachel van Opijnen (along with the overwhelming support of her neighbors) as a means of connecting the local community with one another, and with good coffee.

What began as an experiment in 2019 quickly turned into a garage-based roastery. The year 2020 was filled with door-to-door no-contact deliveries, and our eventual move into our current roasting space at the Dartmouth Grange, a kitchen collaborative for local food businesses.

In 2021, we hit the farmers market scene with mobile coffee pop-ups and evolved into a wholesale roaster. And in 2023, we finally achieved the long-term dream of a neighborhood coffee shop, right in our hometown of Taunton, MA.

After 6 years of exclusively being our own roaster, we've begun collaborating with more of our neighbors in the coffee industry to bring more variety to our coffee lineup. You can now find locally-roasted and ethically-sourced beans in our cafe from multiple great roasters, including Atomic Coffee Roasters in Peabody, MA and a team of rotating local roasters.

And on the daily, you can find Rachel and team serving the best coffee in Taunton to our neighbors each morning. Come have coffee with us!
